Paul Garnham
A 40 year plus ‘veteran’ of the meat industry, starting from a trading background in the City of London and then Atlanta in the USA. Paul joined IBP in London to market and sell beef and pork to Europe. Horizons expanded to take in Africa, then in 2001 Tyson and IBP merged and chicken was added to the portfolio. Various joint ventures and acquisitions in Brazil and Argentina followed. Latterly as Managing Director Beef and Pork for Europe Middle East and Africa responsible for over $200mn p.a. sales of a wide spectrum of beef and pork products – from high-end chilled grain-fed beef through to highly competitive commodity frozen beef and pork. Competent in Spanish and adequate in French!
Alex Santos
Alex Santos is a senior Export and Regulatory Affairs specialist with a strong Food Technology background and over 17 years of experience in global meat trade, regulatory compliance, and market intelligence. For more than a decade, Alex led the US-EU NHTC beef export programme at Tyson Foods, developing deep expertise in compliance, TRQs, veterinary controls, and market access requirements. He specialises in analysing the commercial impact of policies such as the EUDR and EU/UK import requirements, while collaborating with USDA, EU, and UK authorities to resolve issues. Alex has managed a $70mn annual portfolio and contributed to over $1.16bn in sustained revenue, and built strong partnership across Europe. Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, he combines technical depth, hands on operational experience, and analytical insight.
Mohamad Wasli
Mohamad is a Strategic International Export Leader and PhD-qualified Researcher with over 7 years of experience at a Fortune 100 food company (Tyson Foods). Expert in MENA market expansion, including a proven track record of growing the North and West African beef markets, and managing complex end-to-end global supply chain logistics. A recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Halal compliance and International Business Communication, with 4 years of experience leading corporate DEI initiatives. Combines deep academic rigor (UCL PhD) with commercial excellence to drive high-value international trade. Fluent in English, Malay, Arabic. Working knowledge of Mandarin.
